My PC arrived to-day in post. Opted to install Windows 7 my self, with a bit of help from those great guy's at Novatech. The PC runs fairly silently, although you get the odd click and whirr from the hard drive. Windows 7 is a new experiance for me as I'm more up to speed with XP. The disk drive does take a little getting used to, press too hard and too long and the tray pops out then in again. Thus far I have'nt resorted to ejecting from the "My Computer" menu. I've yet to upgrade with my new 6670 AMD graphics card and maybe a sound card, but thats a task for another day. Very satisfied so far, well done Novatech.

Purchased my machine Dec 2012. I bought it with windows 7 pre-installed which was the best option for me. I believe the set up was as easy as it could be and I did use the telephone help line on several occasions. This was very good and much better than phoning India. I agree with others that opening the DVD tray is difficult. The button needs to be pressed in further and harder than seems 'normal' which means that the computer needs to be restrain with your other hand. I think it is very fast, certainly several times faster to load internet pages than my old machine. My first reaction on turning it on was that it was 'noisy'. I reported this to Novatech. I now have it under the desk and the noise doesn't bother me any more. Novatech might have given some advice on the transfer of files from my old machine. I have done it now but I think there was probably a quicker way to get everything back to the right place. The USB ports are fine as far as I am concerned and the front ones can be used under my desk. Overall I am pleased. I also feel like I'm supporting an English firm.

I read that people are having problem with opening the DVD tray, an option is to put a shortcut to the DVD tray on the desktop and right click/open it from there.

I have purchased 2 of these units recently as upgrades for two customers. I purchased without the operating systems pre-installed. Both units were installed with Windows 7 with no problems whatsoever. Speed and performance excellent. My only issue would be that you have to push the eject button quite firmly to be able to eject a CD. Delivery to France is quick and good value for money. Novatech is my preferred choice of computer hardware for my customers.

Purchased this machine Oct 2012. A few minor issues with the initial setup, but using Novatech's online chat managed to overcome them. My main criticism is the position of the front facing USB ports/ audio in/out, which are on the top of the unit therefore the PC can not be placed under a desk, and the side mounted buttons for the CD/DVD player. Some force is required to operate the DVD button and is a two handed job one need to stop the unit being pushed over. Also the close proximity of the on/off switch and the DVD button, can if you are not careful, be pushed by your thumb, whilst pressing the DVD button. Overall not a good case design. The PC itself is a flier, great.

I have set this up loaded the operating system, no problems, the speed is great, hopefully will get plenty of use out of it. I agree with Geof hythe as he said the dvd buttton is awkward and stiif, and the positioning of some of the ports. but other than that, I think this was a very good price for this type of unit.would recommend it

I bought one of these 2 weeks ago, the machine is great, very fast and setup was very straightforward. I agree with the above two reviews that the side DVD opening button is rather awkward and could do with a redesign. I actually like the position of the top facing usb and sound ports, makes it easier to plug things in without scrabbling around on the floor! Also have to say that the Novatech customer service were great throughout the ordering process (I had a few discussions with them as regards upgrade options).

I am happy with my purchase made on 10 Oct 2012. I agree it is difficult to open the CD/DVD tray. To overcome this (and not to use unnecessary force), Click on START, followed by COMPUTER then right click on DVD RW DRIVE (D) and select Eject and the tray will pop out, insert your CD /DVD and carry on as normal. To eject the CD/DVD when you are finished (if it does not automatically eject) , carry out the same action as above.

Firslty the service Novatech provided was amazing. Ordered at 4pm and by 9:10 the next day had my PC. I chose to install OS myself which did require one call to the support line as the boot order was set to network and I didn't recognise the error message. Call was answered and handled very well. USB ports on back and front as well as standard audio so not certain why this was mentioned in a previous review. CD eject is clumsey but not a major issue. Very very happy with machine and service.
