I've just taken delivery of this new machine in the last week. So far I'm very pleased with it, though only after disconnecting the fantastically noisy case fan that was fitted. The machine sounded like a vacuum cleaner initially - totally unsuitable for an office machine. Having disconnected the case fan, it's very quiet, and the 'System Temperature' hasn't been above 28 degrees (ambient in the room is about 18). There's even a second case fan at the front of the case that isn't connected to anything. The Gigabyte BIOS doesn't allow voltage control of the fan speed, so it was running full-pelt (2800rpm) all the time. For the money, I would have expected a PWM fan to be fitted. Apart from that, it seems to be a very well-built and good value machine. The supplied case, keyboard and mouse are all on the budget side, but that's not a huge problem and these things are pretty easy to upgrade as desired.

Fabulous PC & service. I ordered the desktop on a Saturday 2 weeks ago & it arrived the following Tuesday at no extra cost. Upon receipt I noticed that the mouse & keyboard had USB connectors (not the PS2 I had assumed) & left me short of USB ports. I contacted Novatech immediately & received a 7 port USB hub the following day. I then installed Windows 7 64bit, having been put off by recent W8 reviews. Like the previous reviewer, when I came to start the PC, I found the fan fitted to the rear of the case to be unacceptably loud in a quiet home environment & contacted N/T again - a replacement fan (Silent Eagle 1000) arrived the next day. Now fitted, the fan is virtually silent & does not require voltage control of the fan speed (I struggle to hear any fan noise). The PC performs very well & I'm confident that should I have any problems in the future N/T will respond in a totally satisfactory manner. Thankyou to Which? for rating Novatech so highly over recent years - my main reason for buying from them being customer service. And thankyou to Novatech for maintaining such high levels of after sales customer service.

Received the machine mid april, very fast delivery and well packaged, not much in the way of instructions but then I didn't need any, my last puter was 9 years old and came with a giant manual. I found the fan a bit to noisy for my bedroom so I phoned and explained, and after being told how to find out which fan was the problem i was sent a new fan which i received the following lunch time. Every company gets comebacks, it's the way they deal with them that matters, well done Novatech.
