I bought one of these to partner an EEE PC 701, but have also tested it on a desktop machine. Its a good price for what it does, and it works well under both Windows and Linux. The only downside is that no software is included (not made particularly clear on the website). However it worked fine with an old copy of Nero 7 Essentials and CDBurnerXP (free) under Windows, and K3B under Linux. All in all, a good product at a better-than-average price.
