Good Value for Money (GVFM)

Just bought replacement cartridges for first time thought Id give these a go, so far so good. Easy to install, good results, cannot tell difference between genuine Epson cartridges. Print onto Novatech Photo paper and youll struggle to notice the difference ! Given above average rating as I dont know how many prints Ill get ! Cracking value.

Finally printing photos at home is affordable!These are the best compatible inks Ive used with my Epson R200. Theyre also the cheapest, by a long way.So why only 4 stars? Firstly their capacity doesnt seem as high as genuine cartridges - they consist of a smaller ink-containing reservoir in an outer plastic bit to make it fit in the larger cartridge slots in the printer. Secondly the first light cyan cartridge I ordered actually contained purple ink (not magenta, actually purple!)...Novatech shipped a replacement which was fine, but I cant give it 5 stars until Ive used a few more to check that was a one-off.As for capacity, I have printed out 150 6x4 photos and some other stuff with a new set before the yellow ran out (still reporting 17%) - light cyan and magenta on 35%, black 55%, other 2 around 65%. Part of the 17% missing will have been due to me not printing huge volumes of stuff, so the cartridges sit in the printer evaporating ink for longer. The other part will be the small ink tanks mentioned above.I reckon these cartirdges will average over 200 photos each (yellow and light inks less, blacks and dark colours more). That works out at under 3p per photo. With 4 photos per A4 sheet of novatechs photo paper the total is under 4.5p per 6x4 print - far cheaper than available on the high street or internet printing services. That is ignoring delivery costs though - get lots at once!Quality is much better than the last compatibles I was using and definately comparable to results from high street printing Ive used. Its been so long since I used genuine epson ink, I cant really compare with that.The bottom line: providing all the inks are the correct colour (!), Novatech inks and papers finally make it possible to print photos at home without breaking the bank.
