Installed ok, but had problem with PATA hard drive. It needed a jumper (in the slave position) on the back of the drive for it to be recognised as ready by Windows disk manager

Great product - allows use of IDE (PATA) disks with modern motherboards which have limited PATA connectivity. Had to disable Quick Boot in motherboard BIOS to get the card recognised, but then worked immediately! Info with card is good but limited - had to get the full manual from the Silicon Image website.

This is a Silicon Images SIL 0680 Ultra ATA IDE card (with fakeRAID). Works wonderfully as a replacement for the somewhat dis-functional embedded mobo Ali IDE controller in my 64bit Intrepid box. n.b. would be nice if Novatech could supply a few more details on the web site (i.e. the controller details) for these devices.
