This ExpressCard/34 to Firewire IEEE 1394a Adapter is designed base on the IEEE standard 1394-1995 and is compliant with IEEE standard 1394a-2000. With data transfer rate up to 400 Mbps, this product is an ideal platform for connecting external high performance 1394a devices, such as external hard drive enclosure, and audio/video capturing devices like DV camcorder. It works and does like it says. I use it to link my Sony TRV620E to my Novatech Laptop.
