Does what you would expect. Very quite... I use as back up. It could be closer to 2Tb as you only get to use around 1700Gb, I normally buy Samsung and never had one fail yet.

Reports of problems with the firmware of drive proved untrue with this drive as manufacture date was Feb 2011, if drive pre-November 2010 get firmware update from Samsung. Otherwise no complaints. Does what it says on the tin. Too early to tell about reliability issues.

Ordered 2 of these from Portsmouth store got an email within half an hour saying they were ready for collection, what great service. The drives are quick enough, not as quick as the 1TB WD drivers being replaced but they are much quieter.

I have been promising myself a new hard drive for a while now.My wife bought me this for christmas.The drive is quick and seems to be very reliable read and seek times are much faster than my two year old samsung spinpoint 250 gb drive also purchased from Novatech.For the price you can''t go wrong will definately buy from Novatech again.

No installation problems whatsoever, just cloned the old C:drive with Acronis, switched BIOS Boot priorities, and there you go, all ran without a hitch. Lots of space now and fast enough for my gaming sessions, brilliant. Great price/value relationship and comes with the usual reliable Novatech customer service, my main reason for the purchase here.

Happy with the 5400 rpm. Took a bit of a gamble with this, but it paid off. 5400 rpm nice and quiet for a living room media center setup, also cool seeing as its on 24/7. Scores 5.9 in win7 test... Same as my old 500gb@7200rpm

It''s been good so far. I''ve installed it in my Qnap TS-210 and it''s doing good. However I noticed that I don''t have warranty direct from Samsung. But Novatech informed me through Live Chat that they will be honouring the 3 year warranty instead. Hopefully that I won''t need to bother with all that stuff anyways.
