Worked well on an xcube media centre. Pretty simple bit of kit, not much can go wrong

Be aware that the thread of the side holes on this bracket are fine threaded and not standard coarse HDD threads. Consequently, the special screws that are used in my Zalman case for tool-less mounting of HDDs did not fit. Luckily, I found some long, fine threaded screws that did the job but without these, I would've taken the kit back for a refund. Bit of an oversight in design and potentially quite annoying.

Err! I think I must be missing something here? read the reviews and bought one of these to mount a spare SSD disk into my New Novatech bare bones bundle. The case is a popular one that Novatech sells and uses for most of their PC's. ( AMD FX-8 8320 - 8GB DDR3 10666Mhz - AMD 790 Motherboard - Novatech Tower Case & 750w PSU [BB-83208G ]) The drive bays are tool-less types, with plastic slides that should fix to the sides of my OCZ SSD disk. The problem is, they do not line up with the mounting holes. The only way round it was to drill a couple of holes in the bracket to match the plastic slides. No great problem if you have the means, but still a surprise and quite annoying. Now I cannot believe that OCZ produce a SSD that is different from the rest, but having not seen another for comparison I cannot say. Just something that you need to be aware of, if you are using this SSD and putting it in the current Novatech cases.

Does what it says on the tin. Not as good a quality as others I've bought from Novatech but a mounting is a mounting right? Just make sure if you're fitting an SSD device to it the SSD has screw holes on the underside of it.

Works a treat, most people wont need the adaptor now that SATA is about but its always useful to have it in the bits box.

just the job

If you are thinking of putting a SSD drive in your main PC or a 2.5 Velociraptor then this adaptor is perfect for the job. Those of you who wonder what a difference changing your drive to one of these high speed drives could make should consider that my Windows 7 load time from entering the log in password to the programs being usable is now around 10 seconds.

Despite the lack of instructions to fit this, it did eventually take seconds to do it and install the SSD hard drive.
