Quick and quiet while delivering a powerful performance. Excellent for re installing Mac OS X (Snow Leopard & Lion). as I recently replaced my optical drive with a 80Gb Solid state hard drive. This burns dual layer and single layer dvd's with ease. a great product at a great price and no messy power supply to get in the way , a true plug and play device.
