Very satisfied with the Novatech ATX modular 400W power supply. Used with an ASUS B85M-G mATX motherboard and i3-4330 CPU to modernize an old Compaq SG3100 mini-tower PC. Even with the stock Intel cooler, this PC now runs very quietly indeed. RAM is Ballistix Sport 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 PC3-12800 C9 1600MHz Dual Channel Kit. A SanDisk Extreme 120GB SSD makes Windows 8.1 run like a bat out of Hades even though this is not an overclocked gaming machine. Only minor quibble is that there are no physical dimensions specified on the Novatech website and the PSU is about 1cm longer than the old one.

Never had any problems powering my PC. I play games on max settings, use 3D modeling and rendering software, and open multiple applications at the same time. Everything has been running smoothly for 2 years already. I recommend this unit.

Bought two of these little babies, one to put in my budget gaming rig (wich i'm slowly upgrading) and one to put in my home-server. I can happily say that they run silently, are extremely safe - survived a few power cuts, and run most components in budget gaming pc's! The modular system works a treat, tidying up your system and increasing airflow. Would recommend to any pc builder. :)

Looks awesome, super quiet, modular system is well worth the money. As per the other reviews, solid build, quality product. Will be one of the quietest parts inside your build.

Yes, a very quiet and stable PSU, working like a dream on my system. Just as soon as you take it out of the box you know you're handling a quality item, the weight alone stands it apart from the tacky modules that you know will fail and the finish is not compromised either. Fits perfectly in the top or newer style bottom mount and the cables are plenty long enough to accommodate either fitting. I would advise the over clockers to invest an extra tenner and get at least the 500w model, as you'll most definitely need the extra power, but more importantly, the 8pin 12v supply is a must.

Installed this into my new home server build last week. The modular nature of this thing means there's no tangled mess of wires and it's unbelievably quiet. You'd swear it wasn't turned on if you couldn't see the LEDs on various components lit up. This may have something to do with it being 400w and I'm probably only drawing 25% of that, tops. (Celeron G550, couple of drives, no add-on cards). As I've only had it up and running for a few days I guess it may get noisier over time but so far I have to say I'm very impressed and I'm glad I chose this at less than half what I'd have paid for one of the top brand name equivalents.

Along with some simple changes in the BIOS to slow the CPU fan down, this PSU has turned a noisy Zoostorm AMD A6 into a whisper quiet desktop. It has also left the inside of the PC case looking incredibly tidy and empty after removing the Zoostorm PSU spaghetti. Excellent value product.

Bought one of these power supplies to replace the one in my home server that went pop. Very happy with it so far. From the quality of the packaging and supplied accessories, the finish of the supply itself, to the lack of noise whilst in operation. It is very difficult to hear the power supply over the noise of the hard drives running in their anti-vibration mounts. Would certainly buy another in the future should the need arise.

Like most people to me a power supply is a power supply, I don't get why people spend lots of money. I usually buy cheap and prefer to buy better PC components first before a power supply. Long story short I bought this because my current PSU had a problem with lead length as the PSU has to be mounted at the bottom of my case, and I was also buying an even bigger GFX card so I knew it wouldn't reach. So glad I got this over the 750Watt novatech basic PSU, the build quality is amazing and its better then some of my friends £50 PSU's. It has a ton of leads, I have 2 sata drives a GFX card needing 2 additional 9 pin connection and I still have leads left over! Lengths are all good and you get a nice bag to keep the extra cables in (nice touch). So happy with this purchase.

Amazing PSU. I bought this to replace an old 250W PSU aswell as to accomodate for a new graphics card I bought with it. I'm having trouble hearing the thing :) and my case is a bit neater as I don't have unnecessary cables lying around. Does what it says on the tin. Great service, delivery within 24 hours when I chose the free 3-4 day delivery. Next time I need a PSU I'll buy from the novatech powerstation series.

I bought this power supply to replace a power supply that had a defective fan. This power supply allow you to plug only the cables you need, it come with a storage bag for the cable you don't use, so you and keep them in one place. I am not a gamer but this power supply is very quiet, the only component I can ear now is my hard drive seeking when I am loading software or encoding video file. The power supply seems to be well built, this is the first time I buy a Novatech power supply, time will tell about the quality of the internal components, will be back in a while to give some update. Customer service is fast and top. I have been buying lots of products through Novatech and never had any big issue.

Bought one of these for my Dad as he wanted me to build him a new pc. I was after a modular one for him as I don't like ATX PSUs. Installed easily, only needed the cables for one DVD RW, Sata II HDD and Processor/Mobo and that was it. Rest of the cables in the little zip bag. So impressed with the stability of the system, the build quality and the virtual silence, I ordered myself a 750W. Thanks Novatech for the great products and services!

When my power supply went down bang I was really worried, but the helpful guys at Reading took the time to diagnose my specific requirements and provide options for solutions clearly laying out the benefits and costs of those solutions to help me make an informed choice. The ''Modular'' PowerStation ATX2 was really easy to install and resulted in fewer cables/wiring looms improving airflow in my case - and it''s also much quiter then I expected! Recomended replacement.
