Bought this screen as a replacement for my 22" monitor. The screen was package safely in a sturdy box. This monitor is superb for the money even if it does require some tweaking to get the colour set up just right. Would recommend this screen to anyone looking for 120 Hz 27" gaming monitor. Games look vibrant, rich and run smoothly given the 120 Hz BF3 is stunning on this screen. Also this monitor is extremely light weight but feels solid and sturdy. The stand has limited manipulation but mounted on a swing arm this monitors is a beast. The settings menus are easy to navigate and simply to use. It took a total of 25 mins to get the screen optimised for my eyes.

I have not had the pleasure of a 120Hz display since I had my old 21" Sony Trinitron CRT which I bought back in around 2002 for around twice this price (from Novatech as I recall). As long as you remember to set the monitor to the correct frequency in Windows, you will be treated to a blur free crystal clear display (without the back breaking weight of a CRT monitor). The first game I played on this was Assassin's Creed 3, and I must say it was breath taking at first - although now I've had the display for several weeks the novelty of it's size and quality has worn off, I still wouldn't hesitate recommending this to any avid gamer or high-def movie enthusiast. Watch an I-max movie (such as the Dark Knight) in 1080 high-def and you are in for a real treat; it is as big a jump in quality as DVD was from VHS, and that is no exaggeration. Viewing angle doesn't seem to be limited, and contrast is superb. I'm not the biggest fan of the colour pre-sets, but the menu allows very detailed colour adjustment (for best results, set up using a screen spider monitor calibrator). There is a little light escaping on a black screen (as the monitor is rear illuminated) but you barley notice it. I suppose some might want to hold out for touch screen or 3d ready screens (although I can't help feeling 3d is a fad), but assuming you just want high quality visuals at a good price I see no sense in paying more than the £310 asking price - and to be honest I can't see the sense in paying less for an inferior monitor! So, if you buy one monitor to last a decade, make it this one :) Lastly, a quick word about Novatech; I've been a customer since 1997 when I attended University in Portsmouth (where Novatech had their first branch). Generally I have learnt to trust their salesmen's advice, and I have always enjoyed the top-notch service and competitive prices. My hat off to you, as in 15 years you have never let me down.
