For £30, it's pretty good value. The SCROLL-LOCK/SCROLL-LOCK sequence doesn't seem to work moving from my Linux box to my W7 box, but I haven't tried very hard to see why yet. Anyway it has buttons to force a switch, which is very helpful. Importanntly for me, it does allow the EDID through to the PC, which is necessary for W7, and increasingly (it seems) for Linux.

We need something to allow us to use two sources for our projector in worship - SongPro worship software and a DVD. With this switch the swap took about 3 seconds, previously it had taken about 2 minutes to manually swap both sound and vision leads. So it does the job we wanted it to do.

I have used a few switch boxes before i.e. Belkin and none have impressed me. However I would recommend this box to anyone. Its about the size of a cigarette packet, maybe a little bigger. Setup was so simple it was a no brainer. Switching between PCs can be done 3 ways; you can use the switches on the box itself; you can use the utility program which sits in the system tray; or you can set up hot keys on your keyboard.Reaction time between switching PCs is almost seemless, about 1.5 seconds. This compares to about 8 seconds with a Belkin or other lead only switch.Excellent value.
