Guildhall Games Fest is returning once again, and it's one you'll definitely not want to miss! Celebrating over 40 years of gaming, from Pong and Pac Man to Fortnite and Minecraft, the Games Fest has something for everyone.
The event will be held in the heart of Portsmouth at the Guildhall, with 6 Gaming zones across 3 floors, spread over two days - Saturday 1st and Sunday 2nd February.
Gamers should expect a Board Gaming Zone, Retro Gaming Zone and, new to Games Fest for 2020, the Innovation Zone.
After a successful event last year, we are excited to return to the Guildhall to sponsor the Games Fest for the second year running! This year we have decided to go bigger and better than ever before, bringing with us a show-stopping virtual reality performance! Gamers will be able to feel the wind through their hair as they ride on our state-of-the-art Virtual Reality roller coaster, powered by our new Reign Gaming PC range. Charlotte Garwood, Events Manager at Novatech commented:
'My team are really looking forward to this event. We can't wait to see how gamers are going to react to our virtual reality rollercoaster experience. It's great to be part of another local gaming event and to be working closely with Insomnia Gaming Festival once again.'
If you don't think you're brave enough to try out the Virtual Reality rollercoaster, why not have a game of Beat Saber instead?

If you weren't already convinced, or if VR just isn't your thing, then don't worry - we've still got you covered. Over the course of the two days at Games Fest we will also be running an 8 player LAN, giving visitors the chance to play Tannenberg, ShockRods and other games throughout the weekend.
Our LAN event will see our Gaming PCs paired with Gaming Peripherals from our long-time partner, Gigabyte, to create the perfect gaming set-up.
'We have been working closely in partnership with Novatech for well over a decade and value their support and co-operation. Novatech have always been great at creating immersive and interactive experiences at Gaming events such as Games Fest and Insomnia. By showcasing a range of gaming products, components and PCs, they allow players to try out a variety of new products, and also to feel and see the benefits of upgrading to newer technology,' said Gigabyte's Account Manager, Neal Till.
But if you aren't quite up to scratch with the latest games, or if PC gaming is new to you, Pokemon League will be there to lend you a hand, offering 'learn to play' sessions for anyone new to the gaming world.
Another headline sponsor for the event, Insomnia Gaming Festival, will be showcasing some of the biggest games to date as well as hosting multiplayer tournaments, which we look forward to seeing for ourselves. And speaking of Insomnia...
As well as working with the Insomnia team in February at the Games Fest, we will also be attending Insomnia 66 later on in the year, over the Easter Bank holiday.
Last year, gamers from around the world gathered at Insomnia 65 to battle it out in the virtual world, where we partnered with the RAF to supply them with top quality gaming equipment to promote e-sports. Stay tuned to find out more about how we will be supporting the RAF again at this year's show.
And don't forget to purchase your tickets!
Are you as excited for Games Fest as we are? Is there anything you're looking forward to more than anything else? Let us know in the comments.
