Simulating smooth sailing with Novatech

During an important visit to our headquarters by a highly regarded company, one of the customers remarked a phrase that we at Novatech have heard many a time before…

‘I didn’t know you did that.”

The same customers were amazed when they looked around and realised what we're capable of in-house and from some of the many projects we have worked on in the past.

The retail website is just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to Novatech’s projects, making up only 50% of what we do. For nearly a decade, we’ve been working hard to diversify our offering. It's particularly hard to vaunt due to non-disclosure agreements, confidentiality clauses, proprietary hardware, and such. We also take our security and data protection extremely seriously. But it never hurts to be proud of what we are achieving.

Novatech are no longer just 'builders' or 'suppliers', we are trusted technology partners. And we work with some amazing companies. We offer consultation advice, complete project management, plus support - of course.

So, we’ve decided to take you 'behind the scenes', show you what our dedicated and specialist teams get up to (as much as we're allowed to, anyway…)

Smooth sailing

The training sailors’ steer their Naval ship through the rough, choppy waters. Some of them are but teenagers. Against the insidious waves, they maneuver further, when, suddenly… trouble. A lurch and they’re beached. Alarms blare; curses under sighed breathes. The sailors calmly lean back, defeated. The ship is wrecked. Not a single hair on their head has been misplaced. Frustrating, but there’s always next time.

Defence simulations are saving lives and training the military personnel of tomorrow with advanced technology that provides the controlled learning conditions to safely learn and adapt them to the varied situations that they may encounter - while saving on funds, time, and resources.

Working with a confidential client, Novatech built and installed a fully integrated, fully networked suite of full-height 19” racks; complicated, developed hardware for a future Naval training simulator that will make huge advancements in the field.

Within Novatech’s secure in-house headquarters, all machines used were designed and prototyped to meet strict noise requirements that were crucially specified by the client.

Prior to factory-to-site deployment, the entire suite was FAT tested repeatedly. System integration and installation were then carried out by Novatech personnel with cleared security, who worked alongside client side technicians to work to the specifications of the production brief.

With a selected team of experienced personnel, Novatech employees worked to produce the entirety of the hardware within the one-year project lifespan. Working meticulously, the team reached their goal through rounds of prototypes to perfect the end product for the client. In technology, there can only be the best. Settling for the second option only leads to avenues of frustration and wasted resources.
