Custom Novatech hardware is being used in a new MOD project to power a state-of-the-art training facility, designed to train air and maintenance crews in the operation and support for a new generation of rotary aircraft.
Each training classroom consists of 8 multi-channel networked and integrated trainer stations. Every station is accompanied by a 32U rack to power control the instrumentation, motion platform and control systems.
The custom engineered server chassis and racks were all built to JSP 604 Leaflet 4800 standards, as well as undergoing acoustic testing to ensure that they did not exceed a 55dBA noise limit whilst under heavy load.
In line with current MOD best practice, this project has been established to advance training and simulation in a consistent and economical approach by promoting the use of commercial off the shelf (COTS) components and a common data set to improve critical training.
Implementation and configuration was carried out on-site by security cleared Novatech personnel.
Some of the leading names in the Security, Aviation, Marine and Defence industries depend on Novatech for their technology requirements.
