I bought this item due to the new type of motherboards not having the Serial ports and I still have things that plug into the serial ports. Its an excellent piece of hardware and works perfectly on Vista. The only down side to this is the manual which doesnt tell you much except where the drivers are on the CD and to install it into a free pci slot (which most people already know). My biggest problem was it doesnt tell you which way the serial port cables connect into the pci card. Which I ended up having to turn my pc off twice due to this problem.Other than that its a 5/5 product, just a shame about the manual.
