Working well on OpenSuse 13.2. We are very happy with this bundle. There can however be problems with this board and Linux and there seems to be different solutions that work for different people. With OpenSuse 13.2 64 bit: With the default BIOS setting of IOMMU disabled, the network interface does not work and the USB ports can be unreliable. Setting IOMMU to enabled will get the network working but USB3 ports stop working and I received a number of kernel errors. The solution in this case is to use the kernel boot parameter: iommu=soft. (I don't think the bios setting matters when this is set as according to the kernel documentation "Use software bounce buffering (SWIOTLB). This can be used to prevent the usage of an available hardware IOMMU.")
I've had this running for a couple of weeks now and I'm very pleased with it. Like others I have 8GB of RAM installed. Installing Windows 7 and upgrading to Windows 10 was a breeze. I had a couple of issues with Linux but I sorted those out pretty quickly. Interestingly, although Windows reports a max CPU speed of 3.5GHz, task manager often shows the CPU speed just over 4GHz for certain tasks. I didn't change any settings in the BIOS to do with CPU clock speed.
Had this for a few days now. It is a great bundle, though as others, I added more RAM. Novatech RAM worked, so all good there. Easy to set up with Windows 7 and then 10. Very happy with it and would recommend it to someone that wants a board that is easy to set up, quick and very reasonably priced.
A brilliant motherboard bundle I did add another 4Gb of ram though, as I run 64bit Os's which is a bit pointless on only the 4Gb supplied, I was a bit dubious before purchasing as I only run Linux so I did a bit of googling and there were pleanty of instructions on getting everything up & running under Linux, I needn't have bothered! when I connected the Hdd containg my dual boot Kubuntu/SuseTumbleweed install and switched on it just worked, a quick update & upgrade on each of the distros and everything runs fine, I haven't even looked in the bios yet, which is just the way I like it, UEFI! pah! whats that?, as usual good old Novatech.
5 Stars from me. After some research in computer Shopper Magazine for a budget but highly capable system and then discovering novatech sold the outfit I was after, I snapped it up ASAP. I've combined with a Radeon r9 270x which pushed my budget up a smidgen, but all in all it makes for an epic pc. vids no sweat and run latest games like Project cars like a dream. Very pleased with this bundle and great value. I did add additional 4gb RAM stick too. BIOS is ultra friendly also. Cheers
Very good, whisper quiet motherboard kit. Processor yet to be challenged by games. Interfaced with and r9 270x with no hassle, swear box is empty (much to my wife's disappointment). Small issue, ran os a little light, but the price is good and there are 4 ddr3 bays for your ram needs. 4 stars due to lower ram, would pay slightly more for better ram.
One of the quietest motherboards I have used. If you are going for a bundle these come with only 4 gig, suggest assemble from parts and fit one 8 Gig DDR to get the extra power and preserve future expansion.
Needed a new motherboard after my existing one broke after 8 years. Excellent delivery as usual and followed advice from another review and upgraded ram to 8GB. Had to get Microsoft to accept operating system activation again via telephone but as an unexpected bonus PC is now a duel boot system with Win 7 and Win 8.1 upgrade. That alone saves me having to lose some software that will not work properly with Win 8. Didn't even have to clear Hard drive to get new motherboard drivers installed. Win 7 just booted up and installed new ones as it went except one which was found on motherboard disk. So good all round experience.

This is a great bundle! Very fast board and processor. I would recommend a RAM upgrade though as it only comes with 4GB. If your looking for power and a good deal go for this bundle. I will be buying from novatech again for their amazing delivery service. free 24 express service from parcel force with full tracking and SMS alert.

Was pretty much a purchase as wanted a new Graphics card but also wanted an overhaul of my PC's. LOVE this board, only issue is just the 4GB of RAM, but it's not like there's not space to upgrade!!

Very good package, I am using it as a lab ESXi box, with 12Gb of memory fitted. It runs extremely fast, the only gotcha is you need to fit an Intel network card as Vmware no longer recognise Realtek chips. even any realtek patches do not recognise this revision of the gigabit chip. Apart from that a good purchase.
Great bundle no problem fitting it, everything works OK would recommend this bundle, very fast compared to my old board.
A great value bundle, but there is one snag if you intend to use it in part of a Linux build: the IOMMU in the bios is disabled. Basically this prevents distros such as Ubuntu or Mint from using internet over an Ethernet cable connection. Performance with a 3D package such as Blender is impressive, but you may wish to add more memory.
